"Where Pro Sports meets EMS on the cutting edge"

As Healthcare Professionals we are only as good as our resources, i.e.....personnel, equipment, and training. We need to carefully choose the right personnel, use the best EMS equipment, and obtain the finest EMS training.
MEDGEAR will focus on both the current and new trends in EMS equipment.
As the EMS care in pro sports becomes more mainstream and customized, we need to start looking at all aspects of the equipment we are using. In doing this the first piece of equipment that comes to mind and one that is seen 99% of the time during the course of any on ice, on field, or on court EMS scenario is the EMS backboard. Think about this; the standard backboard is 72 inches long, "6 feet". How many athletes at the high school, college, and pro levels are 6 feet tall or less? One could say it's easily less than 50%, most likely it's closer to 15%. If that's truly the case we should be using a backboard that fits the need of our athletes. We need a longer, heavy duty, lightweight backboard made especially for the athletes we are caring for. Now we have it.
At the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society (PHATS) meeting each year we have the opportunity to Give Away a new Pro Sports EMS SportsBoard 7.0. Below are the previous winnere:
2013 - PHATS Las Vegas, Nevada: Sioux City Musketeers
2014 - PHATS Orlando, Florida: Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins
2015 - PHATS San Antonio: Kalamazoo Wings
The Pro Sports EMS SportsBoard 7.0 was designed around the input we received from ATC's, EMT's, and Paramedics. Who better to provide input regarding an integral piece of EMS equipment than the professionals who are using it. CHECK OUT THE SPORTSBOARD SPEC SHEET:
